InterviewShadow vs Final Round AI

Both tools listen to a live interview and put something on your screen while the interviewer is still talking. The difference is what happens to your card afterwards.

Final Round AI is a subscription with no free trial of the feature you came for. InterviewShadow sells a pass that runs out by itself. On price, on commitment and on being able to try it first, we are the better buy, and the arithmetic below is the reason.

The short version

Choose InterviewShadow if you want unlimited live support for 30 days at ₹999 with nothing renewing, you want to test it on a real question before paying, and you want transcripts and feedback included rather than sold as a tier.

Choose Final Round AI if you want the assistance hidden from screen sharing. That is the thing we do not do at any price, and it is the only reason on this page to pay more.

At a glance

Final Round AI quoted us in dollars and our catalogue is in rupees, so we have not put a converted figure in the table. One conversion is safe enough to state plainly, though: $25 has not been worth less than ₹2,000 at any point in recent years, so their entry price is more than double ours before you have had a single interview.

Where these numbers come from

Their pricing page, on 21 September 2026, rather than a review site. That distinction earns its keep here: plenty of third-party posts still quote Final Round AI at $149 a month, which is not what the company says it charges.

We have not paid for Pro and run interviews on it, so treat this as a comparison of what each of us sells and charges, not a verdict on whose answers are better. Ours carry a 50% launch discount at the moment, ₹999 down from ₹1,999, which seems worth saying before we point at anyone else's discount.

Price, over a real job hunt

Take the round most people actually have: four interviews, three weeks, one company.

On Final Round AI you buy a month of Pro at $25 or more, use it for three weeks, and then remember to cancel. If you forget, you buy a second month you had no use for. Their own page rules out testing first: "There is no free trial

• live sessions need an active Pro subscription." So you are committing before you know whether the answers are any good.

On InterviewShadow you buy Unlimited at ₹999. It covers unlimited live support and unlimited rehearsal for 30 days, transcripts and feedback are included, and on day 31 it stops. There is nothing to cancel because nothing renews. Before any of that you get 10 minutes free, no card, which is enough to try it on one real question.

Stretch it to a quarter and the gap widens rather than closes. Three months of Final Round AI is three billing cycles. Ours is Unlimited+ at ₹1,999 for 90 days, once.

And if your round is small, we have a shape they do not sell at all: ₹499 for two hours of live time, used whenever you like, rehearsal drawing from the same balance.

Nothing to cancel is the actual feature

Every subscription in this category is priced on the assumption that some people will forget. That is not cynicism, it is how the model works, and it is why the cheap monthly rate exists.

A pass cannot do that to you. ₹999 buys 30 days and then the 30 days are over. You are never auto-charged, there is no retention flow, and you do not have to diary a cancellation for a month after the job hunt you are trying not to think about.

Where Final Round AI is ahead

Two things, and only one of them is a gap.

The named platform list. Their page spells out Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, HackerRank, CoderPad and phone screens via a second device. We cover coding rounds too, and behavioural, technical and case questions in the same session, but we do not publish a list that long. If your round runs somewhere unusual, check with us first rather than assuming.

Stealth Mode, which they describe as "100% invisible. 100% undetectable", hidden from screen sharing and recording, on by default.

The second one is not a gap. It is a decision, and the next section is about why.

What appears on screen, and why ours is visible

Final Round AI streams a suggested answer. We show a short cue with its source next to it, pulled from your resume, your notes or the job description, in your own window, where anyone looking at your screen would see it.

That is a deliberate limit. It gives cues only when you ask, it flags gaps in your profile rather than filling them in, and it will not invent an achievement you did not supply. A cue reading "Ops migration, Q3 2024, cut deploy time 40%, your notes" works because you lived it. You are not reading an answer. You are being reminded of one, and the follow-up question does not catch you out, because the detail was yours the whole time.

If what you want is to be fed answers nobody can see, they built that and we did not. Better you know now.

Questions people ask

Can I try Final Round AI's live CoPilot before paying? No. Their pricing page states there is no free trial and live sessions need an active Pro subscription. Ours gives you 10 minutes free with no card.

Is ₹999 really unlimited? Unlimited live support and unlimited rehearsal for 30 days, with transcripts and feedback, and it does not auto-renew. After 30 days it stops rather than bills you again.

What if I only have one interview? ₹499 buys two hours of live time with no expiry pressure from a billing cycle. A monthly subscription for one interview is the worst value in this category.

So which one

Unless you specifically want help the interviewer cannot see, InterviewShadow is the better buy: less than half the price at the entry point, unlimited for the month, coding rounds covered, transcripts included, free to try, and nothing to cancel afterwards.
